There are various ways to create Web pages. The easiest and safest way to create a Web page is to use a Web authoring software (like Adobe PageMill). This type of software programs will allow you to produce the HTML code that is necessary for a file to run on the Web, even if you don't know HTML programming.
At the same time, latest versions of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) allow you to develop your document in Office, e.g. Word, then SAVE IT AS HTML to create a page that is ready to run on the Web. This feature is not meant for heavy Web authoring and it is not recommended to create your entire site using this method. However, it is a good way to display your documents on the Web and share them with your teachers, colleagues or clients.
In this section of our course, you will learn to use the SAVE AS HTML feature for both Word and Excel documents.
