Answer:
When registering, you must update your email address in your Campus Personal Information on OLE Student Self Service at http://www.lbcc.edu/ole.cfm  Select Email Type HOME and check the "Preferred" box. See http://www.lbcc.edu/peoplesoft/peoplesofthelp/studenthelp/ for help.

Question:
I am on a waitlist for a DL class. What do I do now?

Answer:
As a seat becomes available, students will automatically be enrolled. You will NOT be notified if you are auto-enrolled into a course. Check your Student Self Service daily. If a seat does not become available, remain on the Wait List and attend the first class meeting if it is a Hybrid class, or email the instructor if it is an Online class to request a permission number.

Answer:
Permission numbers are given out by instructors only. If a class has already started, you can request a permission number by emailing your instructor. Use this number when you register. Keep in mind also that instructors must give priority to students that were on the waitlist.

Question:
If I enroll in a DL class, will I need to come to campus for orientation or exams?

Answer:
Only if it is a Hybrid class; Online classes do not have any on-campus requirements. Check the DL Class Schedule for information about required meetings for Hybrid classes. Some Hybrid classes meet on a weekly basis and others meet on an irregular basis for orientation, exams, etc. If you live out of town and are unable to attend on-campus exams, if any, some instructors allow students to have exams proctored by another professor at a college near you. Contact your instructor to inquire. Instructors' email addresses can be found in the DL Class Schedule on the Distance Learning Web site.

Question:
Do I need anything else besides a computer to take a DL class?

Answer:
Yes. - You'll need Internet access or you will need to be able to come to campus to use one of the computers in the Academic Computing Center. For classes that include required video content, you'll need access to a computer with Internet access and access to a local cable channel - (or you can come to the Success Centers on campus to view the DVDs for your course).
